Letter to UK Prime Minister May Regarding Attacks in Wesminster

The Right Honourable Theresa May MP

Re: Terrorist Attack in London

Madame Prime Minister,

We strongly condemn the terrorist attack outside Westminster Palace, the seat of the oldest Parliament. We also extend to you and the people of Britain, as well as the countries whose nationals became victims of this horrific act of Islamist terrorism, while visiting London, our most sincere condolences.

Political Islam, represented by the Islamic Republic and ISIS, is in war against democracy, secularism, human rights and freedom of speech. We are not confronted with a war of religions but with a war of values. The Islamic Republic and ISIS continuously prove to go against the core values that freedom loving people strive to achieve.

Dear Prime Minister, in this war of values, the people of Iran, who have lived under the oppression of the leading exporter and financier of Islamist terrorism for the past thirty-eight years, are your best allies. Not only do they strongly believe in these values but also they are strongly struggling to uphold them. We therefore truly understand and empathize with the gravity and serious need to combat theocracy and terrorism worldwide.

This is a common aspiration that all freedom loving people of the world seek, the chance and opportunity to live in a free, democratic and peaceful country.

Respectfully yours,

[signed]

Reza Pahlavi
President of Iran National Council for Free Elections
