I wish to extend my family’s deep gratitude for the outpour of love and support from so many Iranians, from Iran, our beloved homeland, as well as those around the world; and people of different nationalities whose sympathies and support continues to strengthen our family, knowing that we are not alone as we grieve the tragic passing of my beloved brother, Alireza. He is survived by his mother, Her Majesty Farah Pahlavi, his older brother Reza, his sister Farahnaz, and his half-sister Shahnaz...
It is with profound sorrow that I received word of the tragic loss of life of my compatriots on the unforgiving cliffs of Christmas Island, in Australia. These brave souls having been forced, like thousands of others, out of their country, were hoping to reach sanctuary and freedom beyond their borders.
While I await word of the details of this incident and how to best assist the survivors, I remained outraged at the circumstances that have sent millions of my compatriots in to exile as political and social refugees over the past thirty years...
I condemn the terrorist attacks on Chabahar and I would like to convey my condolences to the families of those who have lost their loved ones.
Our national security and the territorial integrity of Iran have been compromised by the current regime, and I have profound concerns about an escalation in violence as this regime continues to falter.
