Today, in an act of unprecedented hypocrisy the misogynistic Islamic regime of Iran will be seated on the United Nation's Commission on the Status of Women (UN CSW), which convenes it's 55th session. The purported purpose of the UN CSW is to to play: "catalytic role in promoting gender mainstreaming at national level."  How the Islamic regime of Iran whose so-called constitution codifies discrimination against women at all levels...

I wish to extend my family’s deep gratitude for the outpour of love and support from so many Iranians, from Iran, our beloved homeland, as well as those around the world; and people of different nationalities whose sympathies and support continues to strengthen our family, knowing that we are not alone as we grieve the tragic passing of my beloved brother, Alireza.  Our gratitude also goes to the loving support from this great city of Boston, which served as home to my brother for the past several years

Tragic loss of my compatriots on Christmas Island

It is with profound sorrow that I received word of the tragic loss of life of my compatriots on the unforgiving cliffs of Christmas Island, in Australia. These brave souls having been forced, like thousands of others, out of their country, were hoping to reach sanctuary and freedom beyond their borders.

While I await word of the details of this incident and how to best assist the survivors, I remained outraged at the circumstances that have sent millions of my compatriots in to exile as political and social refugees over the past thirty years...
